Information for Presenters

Paper presentations

There will be 25 minutes for presentation, followed by 5 minutes for discussion.

The auditorium will be equipped with an overhead projector, a data projector (beamer), and a laptop with Acrobat (PDF) and PowerPoint for beamer presentations. If you have any technical questions, you can contact Serge Doitchinov.

Due to the size of the audience, we strongly discourage the use of handouts. If you still decide to bring a handout, please make about 100 copies. We will have no copying facilities on-site, but there are two copyshops near the conference building. Please have your handouts ready to be distributed at the beginning of the session your presentation is in.

Posters

The poster session will take place in Room 027 on Friday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 pm followed by a coffee break. Presenters can have access to the room during lunch break to set up their posters. Contrary to earlier announcements, posters will have to be removed by 4:30 pm.

We will provide poster boards for DIN A0-size posters (85x120 cm, 33" x 47", one poster board per poster), as well as thumbtacks, Scotch tape, etc. Please print your poster in advance; we will not be able to help you with printing. A limited number of posters can be positioned horizontally. Please contact us if you would like to prepare a "landscape"-style poster; we need to know how many horizontal poster boards will be needed.

A few electrical outlets will be available for those planning to include a computer-based demonstration. Please let us know if you would like your poster to be positioned near an outlet. You must provide your own computer.
