Instructions for Authors

The proceedings volume will be published by Mouton de Gruyter. For the final version, authors of full papers are granted 22 pages. Invited speakers may write 30 pages. These must contain everything, i.e., references, figures, images, example sentences, etc. The text must be typeset in 11pt size in Times Roman font. The page size prescribed by the publisher is approximately A5.

Here are the formatting recommendations by the publishing house Mouton de Gruyter. We kindly ask you to follow them. The style files provided below implement (part of) the recommendations. If you have questions concerning the recommendations, please contact Stephan Kepser.

Please, send us your contribution for the proceedings by 31st January 2005.
The prefered format of your contribution is PDF, but you may also send us MS Word documents.

Some Formating Remarks

  • If you want to include the address(es) of the author(s) (this is optional), then please place them at the end of the text before the Notes and References.
  • Please, do not include an abstract. Your contribution is considered to be a chapter in a book.
  • The Notes should preceed the References.
  • Please format the references as in this example using the style files provided below. The above instructions by de Gruyter are unfortunately outdated.

LaTeX

We encourage the use of LaTeX.
Here is the LaTeX class file le.cls and the BibTeX style file le.bst.
Here is an example.tex file, its PostScript version example.ps, and a small example.bib.
The development of a BibTeX style file that complies with the formatting recommendations by de Gruyter was not simple. It may contain bugs. If you discover any problems, please let me know.

06.05.2004 Bug in le.bst fixed (misc).

MS Word

Here is a format file for Word that follows the de Gruyter style guide.
