Project A5Distributional Idiosyncrasies
CoDII-NPI.de documents the current state of research on German Negative Polarity Items (NPIs) and can be used as a flexible starting point for further research. CoDII-NPI.de contains the German NPIs which have been mentioned in the linguistic literature (in extracts: Wilfried Kürschner (1983): Studien zur Negation im Deutschen. Gunter Narr, Tübingen.) and which have been collected using the method proposed by Lichte (2005). For each item, we give syntactic information about the item itself and the licensing environment in which it occurs. In addition, we propose a classification according to the contexts in which they are licensed. We added examples for each licenser from several publically available German corpora (at present these are: google, DWDS, corpora of the IDS).
